reboot command Function Description
Use the reboot command to reboot your Linux system.
reboot command Syntax
reboot [Option]
Option Meaning
The meaning of each option in the command is shown below.
Option | Description |
---|---|
-w | It doesn’t really reboot the system, it just writes to the /var/log/wtmp file |
-d | Reboot the system without writing records to the /var/log/wtmp log file |
-i | Shut down the network before restarting the computer |
-f | Force a system restart without calling shutdown |
-n | No synchronization before system restart |
