ctrlaltdel command: Set the function of pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del key combination.
ctrlaltdel Command Function
Use the ctrlaltdel command to set the function of pressing the Ctrl+Alt+Del key combination.
ctrlaltdel has two supported functions: hard and soft.
- hard: When the key combination "Ctrl+Alt+Del" is pressed, the restart of the operating system is performed immediately, without first invoking the sync system call and other standard shutdown operations.
- soft: soft is a soft reset, which sends a SIGINT (interrupt) signal to the init process. If you use soft, the init program must support this function. When the key combination "Ctrl+Alt+Del" is pressed, the SIGINT (interrupt) signal is sent to the init process first. The init process handles the shutdown.
